It is always changing – always evolving – and like many others I got a front-row seat and saw the whole process of a mere structure turning into a beautiful and spectacular marvel of technology and growth i.e. Lalitpur Power Generation Company limited. Getting a job right after graduation and being part of such a huge project in the core sector was almost like a dream come true experience for many of us. I joined as a Graduate Executive Trainee with 26 others in 2014. It is always tough starting afresh at a whole new place away from your family with a whole lot of new people around you. But it almost took no time forming new bonds of caring, respect and friendship, not just among the freshers who had joined with me but with almost everyone in the organisation that I came in contact with. When you are new to a job but have lots of caring & helpful people around you, every challenge feels like a breeze.
The project phase was a really tough, challenging & demanding period, but we got through all obstacles as a team and achieved various milestones in the journey that followed. The excitement & sense of achievement that came with every task completed with perfection and on time melted away the tiredness & fatigue on the job. (PS: No doubt the parties that followed achieving each milestone had a part to play too!)
From the time of it being a challenge just to walk on the roads during rainy seasons to now taking a stroll in the rain in the plant – many things have changed. This place has taught me many things through the years. To name a few: teamwork, problem solving, planning, organising, innovation, etc. I love how my boss, and colleagues constantly believe in me and push me to try out new ideas, innovations for optimising the system & processes, and support me in achieving them. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals, all revolving around accomplishing zero failures.
As they say, all work & no play makes jack a dull boy. There is nothing better to beat the stress and keep yourself in perfect health and shape through sports activities. The various events and activities like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and other tournaments organised around the year by HR department ensure the same. Each festival is celebrated with such great zeal & enthusiasm that the sad feeling of being away from your family on holidays rarely arises. At the same time, keeping all of us updated with latest technologies, rules, regulations & new developments in the power sector is well taken care of by the L&D department.
None of this would have been possible without the able leadership of our Honourable Chairman who has been the driving force behind motivation & high morale of employees. Being able to clearly project his vision to each employee through grassroots level interaction and praising employees for their achievements personally during his visit last year is what distinguishes him as a prudent leader.

I am a graduate (B.E.) from M.S. University of Baroda in Electrical engg. I joined Bajaj Group’s Lalitpur Power Generation Co. Ltd. (LPGCL), on Aug 10, 2013 as Dy. Manager- Electrical. Professionally I have been offered a plethora of opportunities within the group. Opportunities & responsibilities offered to me were tremendous and have pushed me to my limits with resources and support extended by the management. I have been involved in LPGCL from operating & maintaining of construction power to leading a team for erection & commissioning of electrical equipment’s in Unit#1,2,3 of BTG area to a team member in electrical maintenance department of 3X660MW power plant. Many problems & challenges were faced in the execution of the project such as BTG E&I contractor leaving the site in between, dealing with multiple agencies, and commissioning of raw water intake system. As I look back, a lot of sweet memories remain from the days we were struggling with issues and overcoming them as an individual & team. An employee’s co-operative society, i.e., LPGCL Sulab Bazar Samiti, was started in the LPGCL Township and I was fortunate enough to be provided opportunities to play a crucial & lead role in the establishment of the co-operative society along with the executive body. The moral & financial support provided by management for the establishment of society was overwhelming. The co-operative society, which started its operations on March 2, 2020 just prior to the lockdown, managed & served the entire township in such a crucial time. As an employee and individual I continue to strive for more skills and knowledge and Bajaj Group has been providing the same via actively supporting further training of its employees with courses, additional qualifications, and opportunities for continuous improvement. We were offered various in-house and external trainings which have enriched my knowledge and skills.
It was a pleasure to live in a township with green cover all around. Many families including mine take our morning walks in the jogger’s park areawhich is lined with beautiful flowers and trees, exercise in the open gym and attend yoga classes conducted in the township. In LPGCL, recreational activities like sports and family functions are organised from time to time via officers’ club &ladies club for employee & family engagement. LPGCL/ Bajaj Group offers work-life integration with combination of one’s personal and professional life with professional growth and personal well-being. I really feel proud and fortunate to be a part of this great organisation.

Our Chairman sir, MD Sir and CEO sir have always committed to bringing smiles to employees’ faces which cannot be easily seen in other companies. Our BEL management has always organised and charted several programmes like ‘Employee of the Month’ awards, monthly employee engagement programme, health & wellness programmes, and training for self-development. The work life balance in Bajaj Energy is marvelous, The rewards, recognition and learning opportunities are imbibed in our company’sculture and even in daily behaviour. I always say to my friends that I won’t leave this company since it has a good culture and environment, and there are pleasant people to work with along with a good learning curve.I also want to point out that each and every one of BEL’s team is supporting, always in a guiding mode and encouraging by heart, particularly the senior executives. I feel privileged to be associated with Bajaj Energy Limited since Oct 20, 2010. The company has always encouraged all kinds of skills required in my profession, i.e. technical skills, management skills and behavioural skills by providing us numerous learning and development (L&D) programmes. There is a cordial relationship between juniors and seniors. Management is always keen to provide all possible help to their employee and team mates. BEL’s compensation & benefits, rewards and recognition programme are well designed to make employees more satisfied and more engaged. I personally feel it’s a good work-life balance. I have been associated with Bajaj Foundation since 2009, working in Wardha district of Maharashtra. Working at Bajaj Foundation is pleasure for me – it’s an organisation where you can plan a long innings to serve the needs of rural communities. Dedication and motivation of the Bajaj family for accomplishing development of rural areas is the guiding force for me and my entire team. Moreover, Bajaj Foundation is like an extended family for me. Over the years, the Foundation has given me ample opportunities to learn, which helped me grow as a professional. I have always witnessed a collaborative culture and management, which is focused on the development of the community. I have been working with Bajaj Foundation since 2008.During this tenure, I have witnessed that our team worked ethically for the benefit of villagers. I joined as IT head in 1993 at Pratappur Unit. Since then, during my entire journey of nearly three decades which is continuing, my senior management has been constantly recognising and appreciating my work and gave the opportunity to work at Rudhauli and Kundarkhi Units and promoted me several times. I am currently designated as senior DGM - IT at Kundarkhi Unit. I am sincerely obliged and thankful to our higher management, which has constantly praised me for my work, which gives me a feeling of ownership.

I joined Bajaj Foundation in Wardha in 2009 as a Programme Officer and continued to work here due to the Bajaj family’s ethics, high spirits, motivation and a down-to-earth development approach for the community. I still remember the day when I got an opportunity to Join LPGCL Lalitpur. I was very much excited as I was going to be a part of one of the oldest and renowned organization of our country and also there was a technological enhancement for me as I was going to join a Super Critical Plant. The feeling is still same today and I am getting goose bumps while writing my journey. As far as my journey is concerned, working here is a golden opportunity for every one as here everything is easily accessible, like we can easily approach our senior leadership, lots of training & development activities throughout the year, easily accessible Library, an ever sporty environment, lots of employee engagement programs, cultural programs for family and kids, a regular town-hall meet chaired by our Respected Unit Head for addressing our issues and suggestions. Our Honourable Chairman Sir has been a source of constant motivation through his regular interaction via letters, emails and through town halls during his visits which really keeps me connected to our organization.
I believe when everyone is connected and works for a common goal, every task becomes achievable and organization reached greater heights with a combined approach.
This organization has given me a lot of opportunities to grow. I have always found a hand holding support from my superiors on each and every task I got and tried my best to successfully deliver it. As I am in operation department where every task is a team task, I feel grateful to my respected seniors, my subordinates and lovable juniors, without which no task can be accomplished. I, Sam Sujeet a proud employee of Bajaj Family, started my career with Bajaj Group as an Intern in 2010 and was fortunate to get a PPO (Pre-placement offer) from this esteemed group in the year 2011. 01st March 2011 is “THE” day I started my career & a journey to become the part of this family. I still remember the words of my Group President – HR during induction, “the college days are over boys, now it’s time to become a Man because this journey will have many faces of Joy & Pain but we will always work with a smile on our face”.

Right from the time of my being inducted, the experience has been very professional and to the letter. Post this I had a team to build and be incorporated to the sales team which was an experience in itself.
